Translink Corporate Finance in Sweden (Anecta) served as the exclusive financial and strategic advisors to PLAYipp in the sale to Monterro.

PLAYipp, a SaaS company headquartered in Gävle, Sweden, with additional operations in Norway, employs 35 people. Founded by Richard Häll in 2006, the company offers a software solution that facilitates seamless information broadcasting on digital screens, enabling communication with employees, customers, or any target audience. Their software is marketed as two products: PLAYipp Digital Signage and PLAYipp Rooms, catering to over 2,500 customers in both public and private sectors, primarily in Sweden, with some customers having a global presence. In 2022, PLAYipp generated revenues of 47 SEKm, with a substantial portion coming from recurring revenue streams, showcasing strong profitability. Richard Häll will retain his role as a shareholder and continue to serve on the board.

Monterro, a prominent investor in B2B software in the Nordics, specialises in elevating Nordic software companies to market leadership positions. With a successful track record in developing and operating multinational software companies such as Pointsec, Episerver, and Lime, Monterro actively collaborates with its portfolio companies, offering support from offices in Stockholm, Oslo, Munich, and a development center in Hanoi.
